Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how ZENA COSMOS LLC (“ZENA COSMOS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Daily Qi applications for iOS, watchOS, and macOS, related widgets and complications (together, the “App”), and this website.

2. Information handled by the App

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the App. The App does not include an account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking technology, or our own network service.

Information stored locally

The App stores preferences you choose—such as display language, background theme, day-boundary rule, keep-awake preference, and solar-term reminder mode—on your device. Shared App Group storage lets the App, widgets, Watch components, and complications use compatible settings on the same Apple device environment. We do not receive this information.

Calendar calculations

Gregorian, lunar-calendar, Four Pillars, shichen, meridian-reference, and solar-term calculations are performed locally. The App may read the device’s current date, time, locale, and time zone to produce the requested display. Those values are not sent to us.

Notifications

If you enable solar-term reminders, the App asks Apple’s operating system for notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device. Focus, Notification Summary, and system settings are controlled by Apple. We do not receive a record of your reminder choices or notification delivery.

3. Tracking, analytics, and selling

Daily Qi does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use analytics, create advertising profiles, sell personal data, or share personal data for targeted advertising.

4. This website

This website is static and does not use analytics scripts, advertising, cookies, web beacons, remote fonts, or browser storage. The small interactive clock and color controls run only in your browser and are not transmitted or saved by the site.

Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically process basic server logs—such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser user agent, and error status—to deliver and secure the site. We do not use those logs to build user profiles. The hosting provider’s retention and security practices may apply independently.

5. When you contact support

If you email support@dailyqi.app, we receive the email address, message, and any information you voluntarily include. We use it only to respond, troubleshoot, maintain support records, and protect the service. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it where practical.

6. Apple and external services

Downloading and using the App involves Apple services, including the App Store, operating-system notifications, WidgetKit, and watchOS. Apple may process information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control Apple’s handling of that information.

Links to external websites open outside Daily Qi. Their privacy practices are their own.

7. Children’s privacy

Daily Qi does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. If you believe information has been sent to us in error, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. Your choices

• Change or remove local App preferences in Settings or by deleting the App.
• Change notification permission in Apple’s system settings.
• Ask us to delete support correspondence associated with your email, subject to legal or security needs.

Because the App has no account and we do not collect App usage data, there is no cloud profile or App account to access, export, or delete.

9. Security and international access

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No email or internet transmission is completely secure. If you contact us from another country, your message may be processed where we or our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App, website, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably appropriate.
